THE INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE OF SOUTH OISE
“I came to Picardy, the Bassin Creillois, around a year ago now for my work. Oise is a wonderfully lush area, but is also a place whose landscapes are strongly marked by industry and the vast industrial wastelands. I was hired by the Communauté de l'Agglomération Creilloise to carry out an inventory of the industrial property in the Bassin Creillois I wander the streets and paths of Creil, Montataire, Nogent-sur-Oise and Villers-Saint-Paul, armed with my camera, to record the survivors of the basin's industrial activity. I've already taken over 5,000 photos! I also regularly visit the town and departmental archives to check and complete the information I find out in the field. After I've completed my census of a place, I hold a conference or exhibition to present the results of my research. A great way for others to discover Oise and its heritage!”
