"Why did Jeantes appeal to me so much? I think it was the place in its entirety. I’ve been here 25 years and I never grow tired of the place! The fortified church is magnificent, with its two square towers, stained-glass windows and wall paintings, not forgetting the light and the bocage. As an artist, I take inspiration from the landscapes and the colours to create my abstract ideas. In Jeantes, there are five of us artists for 59 inhabitants. That's important for me too. It creates an ambience, an artistic mindset.”
