"The village's floral project started a long time ago in the 1970s. At the time we were stuttering along making gradual progress. Our initial acknowledgements came from the General Council of l'Aisne and then the region of Picardy. Since 1983 we have been awarded prizes at a national level and we were very proud to be awarded a European prize in 1993. What surprised the jury the most was to see at what extent all of the inhabitants were concerned by the floral project.
Planting flowers in your village is not just nice to see but also great to experience. It creates a great atmosphere in the village: people speak to each other a lot more and exchange gardening advice. We also organise meetings in the winter in which we look at photos of the village in the spring and think about what we want to do the following spring. It's work that requires time and effort but we are so happy doing it, with a sense of humour and surrounded by people who love what they do and do it well ".
