"We got involved in the floral project in 1989 for the bicentary of the French revolution. Gradually, all of the inhabitants took interest and decorated their homes with flowers, although the village was awarded its first flower in 1996, its second in 1997 and the third a year later. I remember that a botanist was part of the jury and he said something that pleased us very much: "your village is like a botanical garden "! It's quite true. In our small village with 150 people, 18,000 flowers are planted every year. We grow all of our flowers ourselves. Flowers have a calming effect and bring people together. Inhabitants who plant flowers in their front gardens talk and exchange plants. We also meet lots of visitors who come here to admire the flowerbeds. We like to ask them where they are from and to chat with them. It creates a friendly environment and makes us think about the villages of our childhood!"
