"The market is divided into three categories: the fruit producers, the food craftspeople and the art and crafts merchants. We select them and insist that their stands always have a direct link with red fruits because we do not want to lose this particular identity. It is an event linked to the Roman history of the town; that is also why it will not spread out and will remain limited to the area around the Cathedral.
This market is a festival. People meet up like in the olden days, in the Middle Ages or a century ago. It is friendly, you can discover a town, a region, there is strong links with history, the land. People appreciate it: some are proud of their town, others are happy to discover a local authentic culture".
