“I was brought up with these values: have a sense of sharing without expecting something for yourself when acting as host. Modesty and sincerity in particular are essential. The most sociable times are when we’re at the table. I let my guests experience local products and they often leave with Picardian recipes in their pockets. At these times, I also take the opportunity to share with them my love for this region, I talk to them about Baie de Somme close by, I tell them about the history of the Henson, a small horse with a golden coat that is from here and I give them recommendations for the horseback rides that we organise starting from the farm. You have to know how to listen to people and open both your home and your heart. It’s one of the basic things in life and for us it’s natural.”
