The traditional red berry market at Noyon: a delicious event!

The stands are set up early in the morning on the courtyard in front of the cathedral. All is colour to please the eyes and wonderful smells to please the nose. Just breathe in the lovely fragrance of jam and fruit sauces. And what are the flavours? You'll recognize raspberry, black currant, cherry, red currant and strawberry, that perennial favourite! Come on, let yourself be tempted by a piece of red berry pie. Sorbets, syrups, fruit pastes and even Noyon Hearts (Yvon's specialty) are also there for your enjoyment. Your taste buds will have a wonderful time!

"I've lived a nomadic life these past few years; I've been in many French regions, but I've come back to Picardy! I grew up in Compiègne in an area I love; that's where I learned to be a pastry maker over the years. I always have new projects to work on, new things I want to do; my work is my passion! We created the "Noyon Hearts" three years ago. They are candies filled with strawberry, raspberry, cherry or red currant. Red berries are a strong symbol of the Noyon region. I didn't make this treat just for myself; I made it for my city and my region, too. I'm very interested in making my region more well known, and I'm also interested in developing and maintaining a high level of quality. Picardy doesn't like mediocrity.
